Senior Accountant & Team Lead
Kelvin is a Finance and Accounting Professional with over 17 years of experience in Audit and Assurance; and Industry including Dental, Financial Services, Agriculture, Retail and Hospitality sectors. He started his career with Deloitte Zimbabwe and completed his professional training in 2011. He became a qualified member with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2014.
He earned his qualification as a Chartered Accountant in 2014, holds an Honors Post graduate Certificate in Theory of Applied Accounting qualification (UNISA) and BCompt. Honors degree in Accounting and Finance (UNISA). After leaving Deloitte Zimbabwe, He spent 2 years working in the Middle East on audit and assurance engagements in Construction, Real Estate and Manufacturing. He moved to Namibia and spent 5 years working in the Treasury as the Payments and Settlements Manager for a Financial Institution. He was responsible for management and reporting on payments infrastructure, design and implementation of Internal Controls and representing the Institution at Payments Industry forums.
He moved back to Zimbabwe in 2017 and worked in financial services and Agriculture Industries for 2 years. He started work as a remote Accounting Professional in 2019, working for a Dental Support Organization based in Texas with a focus on the conversion of client accounting from cash to accrual and the migration of the books from Quick Books to SAGE Intacct.
He is currently working with Bright Balance providing accountancy services to Dental Industry clients. When not working he enjoys golf, chess, and cycling with his kids.
