Esha Vaid brings a wealth of sell-side, M&A strategy, and fundraising experience to Bright Balance. Before joining our team as CFO Advisor in December 2024, Esha’s career spanned over 15 years in investment banking and high-growth startups, where she held leadership roles including CFO, COO, and VP of Finance and Strategy.

She offers a unique blend of insights from both investment banking and entrepreneurial experiences across various geographies, company stages, and sizes. Having worked in Mumbai, London, New York, and Dallas, she has gained invaluable experience across Wall Street, mid-market banks, and early- to late-stage startups. Esha has extensive expertise in M&A advisory and fundraising, successfully raising over $10 million in pre-seed to seed funding for various startups. Her deep knowledge of FP&A, operational finance, and executive reporting—combined with her expertise in process automation and financial strategy—has enabled businesses to optimize operations, drive sustainable growth, and enhance decision-making.

Outside of work, Esha is passionate about mentoring entrepreneurs and advising startups on financial challenges. She is a strong advocate for women in finance and leadership, enjoys networking and building meaningful relationships, and has a love for music. She is also an aspiring gardening enthusiast.

Esha earned her Master’s in Economics from Delhi School of Economics and is a CFA charterholder. She now lives in Dallas with her husband, Ramin, their son, Kiyan, and their labradoodle, Clover.
